When it comes to raising boys to become good men, what matters most? Society might say it's athletics, academics, or just being a good person. Sometimes there is no real definition of what matters most, and the modern state of manhood suggests there's a problem. What should we do with the decrease in boys seeking college education and more men avoiding marriage, favoring gratification over commitment? What should we do with the increasing number of boys whose lives are impaired by anxiety and depression? What about the fact that 40% of boys in the U.S. will have some history with the police by the time they're 19? Something's wrong. Dr. Scoresby explains the consequences of these problems and how we ought to pour more and better resources into helping all boys develop into the kind of men we hope they'll become.
